3 Great Tips for Tenants
1. Inspecting Tip
When inspecting property to rent, make sure to check all the connections are working. Turn on taps, turn on lights, check the gas is working, and flush the toilet!
If the property is empty and the connections have been turned off, be sure to put a clause in your application stating "you will move in and pay rent from a certain date, subject to whether or not the connections work."
If the agents are not obliging, then walk away!!
2. Application Tip
First Impressions Count
Before you even submit your application, property managers have already met you and have had their first impression.
You will stand out before even applying if you turn up to your inspection on time, you are well presented, organised and respectful.

3. Renting Tip
Make Yourself at Home
There's no reason why you can't make yourself feel at home in your new rental. Hang photos, shelves & artwork. Bring the outdoors indoors with plants (real & fake!)
Ensure you ask your property manager for permission before making holes in the walls! Use command wall hooks whenever possible.
